Burgeoning Miami-based agency also receives several recent accolades including the Inc. 5000, Agency Post 100 and The Business Journal’s inaugural Florida Fast 100
MIAMI, Oct. 1, 2013 – República, one of America’s fastest-growing advertising, digital and communications agencies, today announced that The Internationalist magazine, an international advertising and marketing publication, has selected its co-founders, Jorge A. Plasencia and Luis Casamayor, as two of 31 honorees in their 8th annual Global Agency Innovators competition. With this recognition, The Internationalist celebrates the outstanding contributions of top industry individuals from around the world. Winners are nominated by their colleagues, and selected by a committee comprised of past honorees, for exhibiting remarkable leadership and for being a driving force in an ever changing and competitive field.
“This year’s Innovators not only reflect the changing nature of the advertising agency business, but are also in the midst of transforming it. For the first time, we are associating innovation with many new areas that underscore the breadth of expanding agency responsibility,” stated the magazine.
The 2013 Innovators live in major cities around the globe including New York, Sydney, San Francisco, London, Göteborg, Shanghai, Bangkok, Tokyo, Singapore, Mumbai, Boulder, Dallas, Seattle, Los Angeles and Miami. The 31 honorees will receive their recognition during the magazine’s upcoming annual “Innovators Summit,” taking place on Nov. 14 in New York City.
“Luis and I are extremely surprised and humbled by this honor,” stated Jorge A. Plasencia, República’s chairman and chief executive officer. “This recognition is a tribute to our República family and to our clients,” added Plasencia.” “What started out as a dream on a napkin nearly seven years ago has become a world-class agency,” added Luis Casamayor, República’s president and chief creative officer.
The Internationalist selected agency executives who exhibit the rare ability to rethink current notions of brand building by simplifying complex internal processes, encouraging collaboration, managing risk while working in the midst of fast change, keeping sight of “the big idea,” championing multinational strategy and involving customers directly in the creative process. They each underscore how breakthrough thinking knows no bounds of geography, age, company size, or title within today’s agency organizations.
In addition to this recognition honoring its co-founders, República recently received several noteworthy accolades, including for the third consecutive year, inclusion in the Inc. 5000 list of the fastest-growing private companies in America; The Business Journal also included República on its inaugural list of the 100 fastest-growing businesses in Florida; Agency Post, an interactive publication for advertising, public relations and marketing professionals, also named República one of the 100 fastest-growing advertising agencies in the U.S.; and UWIRE, America’s largest college news service, has recognized República as one of the top 25 U.S. public relations firms on social media for its leading work in the space.
