República Opens Submissions for Second-Year Repúblicares Pro-Bono Initiative Inviting Nonprofit Organizations to Apply For Agency Services

MIAMI, March 04, 2013 – República, a cross-cultural advertising, branding, promotions, digital and public relations agency, has opened the official registration for Repúblicares, the agency’s corporate social responsibility initiative created last year to award pro-bono expertise to a deserving organization within the continental U.S. and Puerto Rico.

República is now accepting submissions from any interested IRS-designated 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization to receive República’s professional services beginning in 2014. Applicants must provide answers to several initial questions, including mission statement, scope of marketing and communication needs, and why they are most deserving of this opportunity. All submissions on must be completed by 5 p.m. ET Friday, May 31. The winning organization for 2014 will be selected by República’s employees this summer and announced later this year.

In 2012, República employees selected Strong Women, Strong Girls (SWSG) from the more than 20 nonprofits that submitted online applications sharing their stories. A nationally recognized mentoring program, SWSG is dedicated to raising the aspirations of elementary-school girls, college women, and young professionals. The organization provides services to women and girls in Boston, Mass.; Pittsburgh, Pa.; and Miami, Fla., aiming to build a movement that creates cycles of mutual empowerment for women and girls committed to positive social change.
