Republica Havas Wins Seven Awards at El Ojo de Iberoamérica, Including Two Gold Ojos
The agency’s Chief Creative Officer, Tony Waissmann, was also named Best Creative of the Year for Argentina
MIAMI (November 11, 2022) – Republica Havas, one of America’s leading creative, media and communications companies, took home seven awards across four categories, including two Gold Ojos, at international awards festival El Ojo de Iberoamérica. Additionally, the agency’s Chief Creative Officer (CCO), Tony Waissmann, was named Best Creative of the Year for Argentina. Waissmann joined Republica Havas as CCO in April 2022, relocating to Miami from Buenos Aires.

“Common”, the print and out-of-home campaign for the agency’s client partner, Banza, took home one Gold, two Silver, and three Bronze trophies. “DUO,” its radio component, brought in another Gold. These campaigns aim to communicate not only what Banza is, but also that anyone can invest.

Previously, Waissmann worked as CCO at HOY by Havas, a leading agency in the Latin America region. Throughout his career, Waissmann’s work has been recognized by Cannes Lions, Clio, New York Festivals, London International Awards, El Sol, and El Ojo de Iberoamérica, among others. In 2020, he was named one of the 100 Most Influential Creatives in the World by Creativepool and selected as one of the 10 Best Creative Directors in Latin America in 2019. He was also named one of the Best Creatives in Argentina by the Jerry Goldenberg Awards in 2019 and 2021.
