Goya Gives at Barcelona vs. Chivas Guadalajara Game

Wednesday night at the Sun Life Stadium, 70,080 soccer fans in Miami made sports history in Florida, and the Goya Gives Program made it possible for Big Brothers Big Sisters (BBBS) of Greater Miami, the premier non-profit mentoring organization, to be a part of the excitement. A group of children and their BBBS mentors were among the record-high crowd of spectators, enjoying the FC Barcelona vs. Chivas Guadalajara exhibition game courtesy of Goya. Together, they witnessed the Mexican League underdogs take everyone by surprise in a 4-1 win against the high-ranking Barcelona team.

“It was the experience of a lifetime for these kids to share with their mentors. Many of them had never been to a soccer game before,” said Gale Nelson, Senior Vice President of BBBS. “We extend our deepest gratitudes to Goya for giving us this opportunity.”

The ticket donation was part of Goya’s yearlong ‘Goya Gives’ campaign, in commemoration of their 75th Anniversary.

“We are thrilled that these kids had such a well-deserved great time, and that it was a memorable experience for them. Our reward is the smiles on their faces, and we thank the BBBS organization for teaming up with us to make this possible,” said Cynthia Chipi, Advertising Director of Goya.
