Univision’s “Despierta America” (Wake-Up America) Kicks Off 2011 with Chiquinquirá Delgado as New Co-Host
Univision announced today that charismatic TV personality Chiquinquirá Delgado has joined its highly rated morning show “Despierta América” (Wake-up America) as co-host. Delgado joins beloved team Raúl González, Karla Martínez, Alfonso “Poncho” de Anda and Neida Sandoval as part of the Univision family. In addition to her duties in the daily broadcast, she will also participate in some of the network’s most popular specials throughout the year. “Despierta América” airs Monday through Friday at 7am ET/PT (6am Central) to 10 am ET/PT (9am Central).
Delgado is widely known for her most recent work as co-host for Univision’s hit star-studded reality competition, “¡Mira Quién Baila!” (Look Who’s Dancing). With more than 15 years of experience as a model, actress and TV presenter, Chiquinquirá Delgado gained popularity for her work as part of one of Venezuela’s most successful morning shows, as well as her participation in multiple novelas. Chiquinquirá is also an entrepreneur, having successfully launched “Chiqui,” her own line of beauty products inspired by her personal style which is widely sold in her native Venezuela.
