REPUBLICA WINS SEVEN ADDY AWARDS

Acclaimed campaigns spanning spirits, retail and nonprofit sectors

MIAMI – March 16, 2017 – Republica, one of America’s leading and fastest-growing independent marketing and communications agencies, received seven American Advertising Federation Miami ADDY Awards for creative work for Segura Viudas Cava, Sedano’s Supermarkets and Amigos For Kids.

The agency won four Gold ADDYs for individual works that were part of the “No Fear” social awareness campaign created for Amigos For Kids, a non-profit organization dedicated to preventing child abuse and neglect. The agency’s “Sip It” campaign for Segura Viudas Cava, part of the Freixenet Group, known for its remarkable quality and adventurous communications approach, won two Silver ADDYs, while an additional Silver ADDY went to one of its works for Sedano’s Supermarkets, a Florida-based grocery chain, and the largest Hispanic-owned retailer in the United States.

“Republica is proud to earn seven ADDYs for such a variety of standout creative projects this past year,” said Jorge A. Plasencia, co-founder, chairman and CEO of Republica. “We celebrate our team, and express our gratitude to our clients for the opportunity to create truly meaningful, impactful, industry-acclaimed work together.”

Entry into the American Advertising Federation Miami is the first step toward winning a national ADDY. Agencies that win at the local level, will move on to the second tier, where they will compete against winners from other local Ad Clubs in one of 15 district competitions. District ADDY winners will move on to the third tier to compete at the national level for the national 2017 ADDY Awards.

In addition to winning the ADDY Awards, Republica’s robust campaign for client NBCUniversal Telemundo Enterprises, “El Poder en Ti” (The Power Within), recently won Cynopsis’ Social Good Award for Best Civic Empowerment Campaign. The award was presented to Telemundo at a ceremony in New York City.
