The Strategy Director plays a key role in defining the agency’s approach to creating brand architecture and modern-day positioning. The role collaborates with consultants and creatives to uncover whitespace opportunities and deliver actionable strategies to help transform our clients’ businesses as they launch new brands or rethink their existing ones.

 

Duties and Responsibilities

The Strategy Director plays a key role in defining the agency’s approach to creating brand architecture and modern-day positioning. The Director collaborates with consultants and creatives to uncover whitespace opportunities and deliver actionable strategies to help transform our clients’ businesses as they launch new brands or rethink their existing ones. 

This role is an expert in research methodologies and you can write a brand value proposition or architecture deck with mastery.

  • Identifies whitespace opportunities and delivers innovative solutions and actionable strategies for clients.
  • Acts as the key strategic partner to senior-most clients (CMO’s, CEO’s, CTO’s, CIO’s) across a portfolio of brands.
  • Writes and presents actionable brand strategies having applied critical research methodologies (ethnographies, reports, interviews) and utilizing the right tools for the situation at hand (brand positioning, value proposition, brand attributes/ tone/value).
  • Genuinely listens to clients and consumers, and demonstrate optimism that unique solutions to their business and real-life challenges can be uncovered.
  • Quantifies opportunities, both internally and with clients, understanding what constitutes a big idea or a small one, what could transform a product or a category, and what is right for the challenge at hand.
  • Manages and mentors team members with a wide range of expertise -from econometrics, to brand design, to consumer research.
  • Continuously learn about disruptive industries, consumer interests, and business trends.
  • Provides thought leadership and approach to innovation consulting
    • Translates findings into insights to fuel strategic communication and creative
    • Crafts brand and tactical briefs
    • Builds data-driven presentations and masters storytelling
    • Leads tactical and activation plans
    • Evaluates creative through a strategic lens
    • Leads workshops and facilitates brainstorming sessions
    • Drives new business with minimal supervision
    • Partners effectively with both clients and agency team members,
    • including account, creative, medical, digital/channel planning,
    • analytics, media, and more.
